Dance For The Celestial Beings

Showcase

With Dance for the Celestial Beings I wanted to make people aware of other cultures and values. Therefore I used samples from Greenland, Africa, Tibet, Greece, The Middle East and samples from nature as well as the animal kingdom using whales, monkeys, birds and snakes.

Sometimes the samples are obvious but once in a while such as the whales and the snakes you really can’t tell where the sound comes from. For me it’s always been important to tell a story in my tracks. The reason why I called the album Dance for the Celestial Beings was that I felt we could, and still can, learn a lot from the ancient now disappearing cultures. Not only did they live in unison with their surroundings but their religion and myths also made their daily life much more relaxed in the sense that they were not confused or scared about their own death and the life beyond this one.

Celestial Sounds & Tribal Beats

Showcase

The Album is created with an ethnic mix of diverse soundscapes and eclectic chants. Its at the same time quiet, seldom, dynamic and fascinating. Definitely an album aimed at listening and dancing in the appropriate atmosphere and appropriate nature venue.

At times Celestial Sounds & Tribal Beats takes us on a wild and out there tribal story lifted by African tribal chanting creating a very special landscape unparalleled to anything else. The rich flutes, recorded live by German Ute Apfelstedt create an aura of optimism in relation to the nostalgic emotions from the other sounds. The album is nostalgic, sad, striking with its ambient galaxy and ethnic vocals.
